“The mountains of Mindoro have become my second home. And the mangyan people… my second family. Unfortunately, because majority of the mangyans live in remote mountainous areas, access to education, health services and electricity have been very difficult. It has become my life mission to somehow bring them closer to light. I thank our partners in Project Malasakit for helping us fulfill this dream.
Last weekend, we inaugurated our newly-constructed Project MalasakitDayCare Center at Sitio PayPay Ama in Bansud Mindoro Oriental. Distributed 100 toys and school supplies and groceries to 100 mangyan children of Sitio Buhuan and Sitio Gubot. Taught 100 Mangyan families the basics of solar energy and gave out portable solar power kits and groceries to 100 Mangyan families.
