Filipino-Canadian group partners with Project Malasakit

Aside for providing solar power to isolated villages, Project Malasakit also values the importance of education. This year, we were able to build a Daycare and Learning Center for Mangyan children in Sitio Abokado, Bansud Mindoro Oriental. The people in this village were victims of a typhoon that hit Mindoro Island. And their school on top of the mountain was badly damaged. Project Malasakit together with our partners in Canada raised funds for this worthy project and finally in February 2016, we were able to build the Mangyan Tribe a new school for their kids. #ProjectMalasakitCanada
