Sitio Malining in General Nakar Quezon is located in the Sierra Madre mountain range. One has to walk for two days through the forest to be able to get to Sitio Malining. There is no electricity, no roads, no health facilities in the area. Patrick and the teachers of Sitio Malining were featured in the Iwitness documentary “Ang mga Guro ng Malining”

In 2018, Project Malasakit took Patrick as a full scholar. After a few months, Patrick’s family moved to Tanay, Rizal where there is better access to educational facilities.
