Anthony is a very hardworking young boy who lives in a fishing community in Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
He was a former child laborer who dives for shells and sea cucumbers. He earns 20 pesos per day which he uses for school allowance. Their small community was also the site where Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) first made landfall. Thankfully, Anthony and his family survived the tragedy. Anthony’s story was featured in 2 Iwitness documentaries. Anthony is currently in college.
