Sajara Jean is a child laborer and street dweller from Cebu. For many years, she has survived the harsh life in the streets.

She was rescued by a Cebu-based NGO in Cebu Forge Foundation. In 2010, Sajara’s life was featured in the Iwitness Documentary “Taxi Serbis” about children who work in the streets.

Since then, Project Malasakit has sponsored Sajara’s education. In school, we discovered that Sajara is very intelligent young lady.

In 2012, Sajara graduated from elementary school at the top of her batch. In 2018, she finished high school and went on to college to take Hotel and Restaurant Management

She has opted out of the scholarship program and is now working at a call center.
